What is the point of energy performance certificates?:
Buildings are responsible for almost 50 percent of the UK's energy consumption and carbon emissions. Since October 2008 all properties - homes, commercial and public buildings - when bought, sold, built or rented need an energy performance certificate (EPC) prior to marketing.

An energy performance certificate will provide prospective purchasers and tenants with information about the energy performance of a building and suggest economic ways in which the building can be enhanced to improve its efficiency and environmental impact.

Our dedicated team of Domestic Energy Assessors:
At Home Information Bureau, We employ & train our own licensed and insured energy inspectors to carefully complete your energy performance certificates, So everyone knows exactly who will be attending your property. All our staff carry identification.

A member of our team will need to gain access to your property in order to complete the energy performance certificate. The assessor will need to see the heating system inluding boiler, radiators and thermostats, and also insulation types in the ceilings, walls and floors.
